6 years agoSan Antonio Spurs shooting guard/small forward DeMar DeRozan poured in 30 points, pulled down seven rebounds, doled out five assists, blocked one shot and came up with two steals in Wednesday's win over the Nuggets. The 29-year-old made at least 50 percent of his shots for a fifth straight game as he was 9-for-17 from the field, including 1-for-2 from beyond the arc, and 11-for-14 from the charity stripe. It was his first three-pointer since Nov. 24 and only the sixth game that the 10th-year pro even has attempted a long-range shot since then. DeRozan scored 12 of his points in the final stanza to help the Spurs gain separation from the Nuggets. He has now grabbed four or more rebounds in seven straight games and doled out five or more assists in six of those contests. DeRozan will look to extend his current streak of scoring in double-figures to eight games in a row against the Nuggets on Friday.--Daniel Benjamin
