6 years agoSan Antonio Spurs center Pau Gasol will be active for Friday’s contest against the Denver Nuggets. Gasol has not appeared on the floor since Nov. 4, dealing with a foot ailment. Just because Gasol is active does not necessarily mean he will see action Friday, with the team having been aiming for an early January return date. That means Gasol is likely best left to the waiver wire for now, unless owners can afford to spare a roster spot in the event that the wily veteran can rekindle some of his old magic.--Jesse Borek
