6 years agoBoston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving sliced the Memphis Grizzlies’ defense to the tune of 26 points and 13 assists Saturday. The assist total ties his season high, as he has also now eclipsed the 20-point plateau in eight of his last nine contests. December has been good to Irving who has kept his scoring up (25.2 points per game), while also dishing out 7.2 dimes per contest. He wraps up the month for good Monday versus the San Antonio Spurs, whom he went for 36 points against in their most recent match-up last season.--Jesse Borek
