Kyrie Irving Suffers Eye Scratch In 16-Point Effort
6 years agoBoston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving logged just 29 minutes during Monday’s loss to the San Antonio Spurs due to a scratched cornea, managing to finish with 16 points, eight assists and three rebounds. The injury has Irving’s status up in the air for Wednesday’s contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves, in which Terry Rozier would likely reap the most benefits in DFS, while Jaylen Brown and Gordon Hayward would be candidates to slide back into the starting five. Irving has missed just two games this season and is coming off a brilliant month in which he averaged 24.5 points and 7.2 assists per game.
