6 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans power forward/center Julius Randle became the lead dog during Monday’s contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves after Anthony Davis was scratched from the lineup due to illness. Randle finished with 33 points on 13-for-23 shooting, adding 11 rebounds and three assists to lead his team to victory despite Davis’ absence. It goes without saying, but should Davis miss Wednesday’s outing versus the Brooklyn Nets, look for Randle to become a must-play with Nikola Mirotic also currently sidelined.--Jesse Borek
