6 years agoSan Antonio Spurs small/power forward Rudy Gay will likely be absent from Thursday’s game against the Toronto Raptors due to a wrist injury. Davis Bertans saw an extended role with Gay missing Monday’s game, and could again, as it appears doubtful Gay will be able to face his former team Thursday. Gay has had a renaissance season with San Antonio at 32 years old, shooting a career-best 51.4 percent from the floor and 41.1 percent from three. His likely next chance to suit up comes Saturday versus another former team, the Memphis Grizzlies.--Jesse Borek
