6 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves point guard Tyus Jones remained in the starting five Wednesday versus the Boston Celtics with Jeff Teague and Derrick Rose still sidelined, and Jones posted 14 points and nine assists in 40 minutes of action. With Jerryd Bayless logging just five minutes off the bench behind him, it’s clear that Jones will be running the show for Minnesota as long as Rose/Teague remain out. While that gives Jones a short-term window, he is proving that he is a virtual lock to be rostered in that span, which next includes a match-up versus the Orlando Magic on Friday.--Jesse Borek
