6 years agoBoston Celtics small forward Gordon Hayward was virtually unstoppable during Wednesday’s win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, finishing 14-for-18 from the floor en route to a season-high 35 points. On the heels of a scoreless performance Monday, Hayward completely flipped the script for his best showing in over two years. There must be something in facing Minnesota for Hayward, whose only two games with 20 or more points this season have come against the Timberwolves. His last two outings have been emblematic of his seesaw year to this point, attempting to keep the scoring barrage alive against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday.--Jesse Borek
