Klay Thompson Finds His Stroke During 43-Point Performance
6 years agoRumors of Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson’s demise have been greatly exaggerated. The sharpshooter erupted for a 43-point outing against the New York Knicks on Tuesday, finishing 18-for-29 from the field overall, including 7-for-16 from long range. This performance serves as a reminder that Thompson is capable of catching a fire different than any player in the league. The three-point percentage may not be there this season, but he’s on pace to set new career highs in rebounds (4.2) and steals (1.2) per game. His next match-up comes versus the Chicago Bulls, whom he shot into submission back on Oct. 29 with a 52-point, 14-made-three barrage.
