6 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans point guard Jrue Holiday scored 25 points on 12-for-22 shooting from the field in Saturday's loss to the Timberwolves. The 28-year-old grabbed six rebounds, dished out seven assists, blocked two shots and committed three turnovers. He also was 0-for-4 from the three-point line, meaning that he has misfired on all seven of his attempts the past two games. More concerning, however, has been his inability to get to the free throw line. The 10th-year pro has attempted just seven free throws (1.4 a game) in January, which is 2.5 fewer tries a game than his season average. Holiday has struggled shooting against the Clippers, who the Pelicans face on Monday, although he is still producing 20 points along with 11.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds and three steals over two games versus them.--Daniel Benjamin
