Wendell Carter Jr.'s Rough Rookie Campaign Continues
6 years agoChicago Bulls power forward/center Wendell Carter Jr. tallied seven points, nine rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in Saturday's loss to the Jazz. The rookie was 3-for-9 from the field, 0-for-1 from beyond the arc, and 1-for-2 from the free throw line. He has failed to score in double-figures in three of his last six games, and his rebound total was his most in January, although he has now collected eight or more boards three times this month. Carter has shown flashes of his potential, but consistency has been an issue. Granted the 19-year-old has struggled to score this season, he could be active on the boards against the Lakers on Tuesday. The Lakers have permitted opposing centers to grab 18.8 rebounds a game over the last 10 outings, which is the second most in the Association.
