Ben Simmons Nearly Racks Up Triple-Double In Just 26 Minutes
6 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers point guard Ben Simmons came one short of his eighth triple-double of the season in Tuesday's blowout victory over the Timberwolves. Simmons finished with 20 points, 11 rebounds (three offensive), nine assists, three blocks and three turnovers in 26 minutes. He was 7-for-10 from the field and 6-for-7 from the charity stripe. It was his fifth double-double of the month and third straight game he has topped 20 points. The 22-year-old is in the process of having his best month of the season, compiling 19.8 points, 10.4 rebounds, 9.4 assists, and 1.1 assists while shooting 60.4 percent from the field. Simmons has an excellent matchup against the Pacers on Thursday, who he is averaging 17 points along with 9.5 rebounds, six assists, 1.5 blocks and two turnovers against in two games this year.
