6 years agoSan Antonio Spurs shooting guard/small forward DeMar DeRozan finished with 14 points and either scored or assisted on nine of the Spurs last 12 field goals in the comeback win over the Mavs on Wednesday. It was not the best line from DeRozan, but he added nine assists with four rebounds in 40 minutes of action. He added after the game that he was looking to score first and then reading what the defense gave him which led to finding his open teammates. The career-high average of 6.4 assists has been a welcomed surprise for owners this season, now he just needs to get his high-octane offense rolling again.--Gianni Costantiello
