Russell Westbrook Has Good Shooting Night
6 years agoOklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook once again flirted with a triple-double in Monday's win over the Knicks, the difference being is that he shot the ball decently this time. Westbrook finished the game with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists as well as three turnovers. He was 6-for-12 from the field, 1-for-2 from the three-point line, and 4-for-5 from the charity stripe. It was the first time in five games and the third occasion this month that the 30-year-old connected on 50 percent of his shots. The 11th-year pro, who racked up his 29th double-double of the season, is currently averaging 23.9 points along with 11.6 assists and 10.3 rebounds while shooting 39 percent from the field and 24.5 percent from long distance in January. Westbrook will look to extend his current streak of at least one three-pointer to four straight games against the Trail Blazers on Tuesday.
