Allonzo Trier Drops Career-High 31 Points In Loss
6 years agoNew York Knicks rookie shooting guard Allonzo Trier registered 31 points with 10 rebounds, three assists and a steal over 33 minutes in Wednesday's 114-110 home loss against the Houston Rockets. He went 12-for-18 from the field, including 2-for-4 from behind the three-point line, while going a perfect 5-for-5 from the free-throw stripe. He is the first Knicks rookie with 30-plus points and 10-plus rebounds in a game since Patrick Ewing accomplished the feat during the 1985-86 season. Trier is going to be a popular pick off the waiver wire after averaging 20.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game over the past three.
