Karl-Anthony Towns Knocks Down Game-Winner In Overtime
6 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns found the ball in his hands with the clock approaching zeroes in overtime and found nothing but the bottom of the net Wednesday versus the Memphis Grizzlies. It was a woeful start for Towns, who was held scoreless during the first half -- all 16 of Towns’ points came in the second half or overtime. The big man was kept to just 26 minutes due to foul trouble, still managing to collect a double-double (adding 10 rebounds) despite his 0-for-6 evening from three, his first contest without a made triple since Dec. 19. His next match-up comes Saturday against the Denver Nuggets, who have held opposing centers to the bottom third of fantasy points per game this season.
