6 years agoSan Antonio Spurs power forward/center LaMarcus Aldridge will be held out for Wednesday’s contest versus the Golden State Warriors due to rest. Aldridge is set to miss his first contest of the season, so it’s difficult to project how head coach Gregg Popovich may reallocate his minutes, but it’s likely Jakob Poeltl and Davis Bertans will be two prime candidates to see their workload increased. Aldridge has been scorching hot of late, averaging 25.7 points and 11.8 rebounds per game over his last six contests. His next chance to suit up comes Thursday versus his former club, the Portland Trail Blazers.--Jesse Borek
