6 years agoMemphis Grizzlies center Jonas Valanciunas will miss Saturday’s contest versus the New Orleans Pelicans after previously having been expected to make his debut with his new club. It appears that Valanciunas is dealing with immigration paperwork that stems from his move from Toronto back to a U.S.-based franchise. Valanciunas, who is of Lithuanian descent, is expected to join the team ahead of Tuesday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs, having recovered from a dislocated thumb that has kept him out since December. Expect Ivan Rabb to see a hefty minutes dosage at the center spot in his place.--Jesse Borek
