6 years agoOklahoma City Thunder shooting guard Alex Abrines has been waived by the franchise, with the two sides coming to a mutual agreement. Abrines has reportedly been dealing with a personal matter which has allowed him to play in only two games since Dec. 23. Abrines played in 174 games with the Thunder over the past three years, averaging 5.3 points per game. Rookie Hamidou Diallo has seen his minutes increase during Abrines’ absence and figures to remain the next man in line following Abrines’ departure.--Jesse Borek
