Jerami Grant To Miss First Contest Of The Year Monday
6 years agoOklahoma City Thunder power forward Jerami Grant has been ruled out for Monday’s game versus the Portland Trail Blazers due to a sprained right ankle. Grant has all played in all 55 games for the Thunder this year, 52 of which he has started, so how the team will allocate his minutes is up in the air. It seems likely that Patrick Patterson will see an increased role, but it’s also possible the team goes smaller with Paul George at the four and Abdel Nader getting more minutes on the wing. The 2018-19 campaign has been a breakout year for Grant, who has stepped into legitimate fantasy consideration for the first time in his career, averaging 13.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per contest. His next chance to suit up comes Thursday against New Orleans.
