6 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves point guard Tyus Jones has been listed as doubtful to play in Monday’s contest against the Los Angeles Clippers due to a left ankle sprain. The injury has kept Jones on the shelf for the previous 11 contests, although just getting listed on the report as anything but “out” is a step forward for Jones. Even when he does return, he’ll likely find himself scavenging for minutes amongst the group of Jeff Teague, Derrick Rose and Jerryd Bayless. Jones has taken steps forward this season, on pace for new career highs in minutes (20.3), points (5.4) and assists (4.0) per game.--Jesse Borek
