6 years agoDetroit Pistons power forward Blake Griffin nearly logged his second triple-double of the season during Monday’s victory over the Washington Wizards, compiling 31 points, nine rebounds and nine assists across 40 minutes of action. Griffin remained Detroit’s offensive focal point, finishing 12-for-23 from the field, including 4-for-10 from deep. To say that Griffin is headed back to the All-Star Game on the back of his three-point shot would not be a stretch as the big man is on pace to set a new career high with 26.2 points per game, buoyed by his 2.5 made threes on a nightly basis, shooting at a 36.2 percent clip from deep.--Jesse Borek
