Deonte Burton Scores Career-High 18 Points Off Bench
6 years agoOklahoma City Thunder shooting guard/small forward Deonte Burton seized his opportunity at seeing action during Monday’s win over the Portland Trail Blazers, shooting 7-for-9 during his 26 minutes en route to a career-high 18 points. Burton had a one-track game, failing to log a rebound or an assist (although he did add three blocks), as he came off the bench looking to score with both Dennis Schroder and Jerami Grant absent. Burton may play his way into some minutes after the All-Star break following the release of Alex Abrines, so Burton's a player to keep an eye on if he gets enough run.
