Jake Layman Outstanding Off The Bench
6 years agoPortland Trail Blazers small forward Jake Layman was very efficient off the bench in Wednesday's 129-107 victory against the Golden State Warriors, finishing with 17 points, two rebounds, two steals and an assist over 26 minutes. He hit 7-for-9 from the field, including 3-for-5 from behind the three-point arc. The former standout at Maryland is averaging 16.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.8 three-points in five February outings. Shooting guard Rodney Hood added eight points with a triple, and Portland ended up 16-for-37 (43.2 percent) from downtown. The Blazers head into the All-Star break, returning Feb. 21 on the road against the Brooklyn Nets.
