It’s the last night of games before the NBA All-Star break, but that still leaves some opportunities on the floor to cash in with Monkey Knife Fight.
The game of the night goes in New Orleans, where who knows what is going to happen with Anthony Davis? The Pelicans superstar is getting booed on his home floor and finished with three points in 24 minutes against Orlando Tuesday night.
When Davis is on, he’s one of the biggest difference-makers in the league, but it’s hard to pin down what exactly is happening ever since his trade demand went public. Sure, there may be some bruised feelings in New Orleans right now, but if Davis is going to get moved in the summer, they can’t just have him sitting out or playing a part-time role, can they?
The Davis uncertainty is reason enough to avoid Pelicans picks tonight, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t potential value to be found on the Thunder side of the floor. Here are some angles to consider before giving the monkeys one more run before the break.

OKLAHOMA CITY-NEW ORLEANS
OVER/UNDERS
Paul George OVER 31.5 POINTS – George has been easily over 32 points in four straight road games, and the two before that he finished at 31, so this is a big number, but he’s been getting there on a regular basis, averaging 32.6 points per game in the past 20.
Russell Westbrook UNDER 22.5 POINTS – It’s cool that Westbrook has had 10 straight triple-doubles, but he’s scored 23 or more points twice during that stretch, and both times it was exactly 23! His priority will be to fill the stat sheet, more than just scoring, and he’s still an erratic shooter, making 39.2% from the field in 2019.
CHARLOTTE-ORLANDO
OVER/UNDERS
Kemba Walker OVER 26.5 POINTS – That’s not an easy number to get over, but Walker has gone for 30-plus in three straight road games. Why not a fourth, especially against and Orlando team that isn’t exactly a juggernaut?
Evan Fournier UNDER 16.5 POINTS – In his past dozen home games, Fournier has scored 17 or more four times, and his overs are just barely over, while he has some serious clunkers among the unders.
NEW YORK-ATLANTA
OVER/UNDERS
Dennis Smith Jr. UNDER 5.5 ASSISTS – He’s averaging 5.8 assists per game since joining the Knicks, but he’s walking the line, ranging between four and six in five of those games. His season average is 4.6 per game and this is the second night of a back-to-back, so I say he slides under.
Gimme all five for a 16x payout:
- John Collins UNDER 21.5 POINTS
- Kevin Knox OVER 1.5 THREES
- Trae Young OVER 7.5 ASSISTS
- Dewayne Dedmon UNDER 1.5 STEALS + BLOCKS
- DeAndre Jordan OVER 10.5 REBOUNDS
