6 years agoFree-agent power forward Markieff Morris will reportedly join the Oklahoma City Thunder, per Shams Charania of The Athletic. Morris last suited up on Dec. 26, having been sidelined since due to a neck injury. The veteran forward reportedly had multiple suitors for his services, but will join a Thunder squad that sits third in the Western Conference heading to the All-Star break. Shifting back to a bench role for more than half of his outings this year, Morris has averaged 11.5 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. He’s likely to continue coming off the bench for OKC, who could use his scoring punch as a part of their second unit.--Jesse Borek
