6 years agoMiami Heat shooting guard Rodney McGruder entered the starting lineup Saturday, but will be absent from the rotation entirely Monday against the Phoenix Suns due to a knee injury, although his MRI results did not reveal any damage that would keep him out long term. It’s been a roller coaster season for McGruder, who is currently in the depths of that ride, having scored in single-digits in each of his last 11 contests. His absence should free up additional shot opportunities for Dion Waiters and Dwyane Wade, with McGruder’s next chance to return coming Wednesday against the Golden State Warriors.--Jesse Borek
