6 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans guard Elfrid Payton did an excellent job running the offense on Monday when he handed out a season-high 14 assists in the loss to the 76ers. Payton secured the double-double with 10 points on 5-for-13 shooting while grabbing four boards with a steal and two turnovers on the night. He has been excellent since returning to the lineup three games ago and in those games, he is averaging is 13.0 points, 9.0 assists, 3.7 rebounds, 1.0 blocks, 1.0 steals, and 1.0 treys on 51.5% shooting from the floor.
