6 years agoChicago Bulls center Robin Lopez is hitting his stride in recent weeks, as he is averaging 20.2 points over the last six games. That is significantly better than his season average of 7.9 points per contest. However, Lopez is seeing a major jump in minutes with many of his teammates sidelined in recent weeks. In 34 minutes, Lopez scored a season-high 26 points Monday night against the Bucks on 10-for-16 shooting, hitting his only three-point attempt of the night as well. The 30-year-old center did not have a major impact anywhere else on the court, only tallying three rebounds, two assists and one block. Keep a close eye on Lopez as his teammates continue to sit on the bench with injuries and he racks up big minutes, but it will be interesting to see his role once everyone returns to play. He faces the Memphis Grizzlies for the second time in five games on Wednesday night looking to match his 25-point performance from two weeks ago.--Matthew.McGough
