6 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns has been a man on a mission since his return from injury, with Thursday’s loss to the Indiana Pacers seeing him erupt for a season-high 42 points in just 34 minutes. Towns took a whopping 29 shots, but with Andrew Wiggins scuffling from the field and Jeff Teague absent, Towns was a virtual offensive one-man army. He shot 15-for-29 from the field overall, adding 17 rebounds and four assists. He has gone for better than 30 points in each of his last three outings, with a favorable match-up against the Washington Wizards on Sunday up next.--Jesse Borek
