6 years agoAtlanta Hawks power forward/center Omari Spellman was forced to leave Friday’s game against the Chicago Bulls early due to a left ankle sprain and the injury will keep him out for Sunday’s rematch as well. Spellman played 19 minutes as a starter in place of John Collins on Friday, logging nine points and five rebounds before heading to the locker room. Collins is tagged as doubtful for Sunday, which would pave the way for Dewayne Dedmon and Alex Len to see ample time in the frontcourt. Spellman’s next chance at returning comes Monday versus the Miami Heat.--Jesse Borek
