Rodney Hood Goes For Season-High 27 Points In 24 Minutes
6 years agoPortland Trail Blazers shooting guard/small forward Rodney Hood was nearly unguardable off the bench during Sunday’s win over the Charlotte Hornets, collecting a season-high 27 points on 9-for-14 shooting across 24 minutes. His performance was taken to the next level by his 21-point fourth quarter, which keyed the Blazers’ path to victory. With C.J. McCollum adding just six points, Hood became the go-to man down the stretch, scoring in double digits for just the second time in his 10 contests since joining Portland. Hood seems locked into the 20-24-minute window on a nightly basis, which caps his fantasy value, but he remains an intriguing DFS play when able to score the ball how he did Sunday.
