Paul George Has Three-Point History Snapped
6 years agoOklahoma City Thunder small forward Paul George had his 40-game streak of multiple made three-pointers broken during Thursday’s victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. George scuffled from the floor again in his second game back from injury, shooting just 7-for-23 overall, including 1-for-9 from deep, ending the third-longest streak in NBA history. But ultimately, it was a massive performance from George, who finished with 32 points, 14 rebounds, six assists and three steals. He got to the free-throw stripe a career-high 20 times, making 17, which allowed his scoring total to remain high. After logging 43 minutes Thursday, owners may want to keep an eye on his status Friday against the Los Angeles Clippers, who, while an enticing match-up on paper, might not get George at 100 percent due to both injury and fatigue.
