6 years agoToronto Raptors shooting guard/small forward Kawhi Leonard needed just 27 minutes to score his 31 points in the easy win over the short-handed Pelicans on Friday. Leonard added just a single assist with two rebounds but chipped in two steals with a make from three to his line. Leonard did not have to deal with the pesky defense of Jrue Holiday (abdominal) and the rim-protecting of Anthony Davis (back) which resulted in Leonard connecting on 13 of 15 shots near the basket. As well as Leonard plays when he suits up, we can only expect to see him sit out some more games going forward.--Gianni Costantiello
