Lou Williams Goes Off For 40 Points
6 years agoLos Angeles Clippers shooting guard Lou Williams made his case to be named the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year for the second consecutive season (and third time overall) during Friday’s victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Williams reached the 40-point plateau for the second time this season, finishing 13-for-24 from the field, including 4-for-6 from deep, en route to a 40-point barrage. But it wasn’t just his scoring: Williams also added seven rebounds, five assists and four steals in his 34 minutes, likely his best game of the season statistically speaking. Season-long owners know that this Williams can surface on a nightly basis, with his next showdown coming Monday versus the Boston Celtics as he tries to help his squad hang on to a playoff berth.
