6 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns dropped 40 points and collected 16 rebounds in a dominant showing during Saturday’s win over the Washington Wizards, but was forced to exit late in the fourth quarter due to an apparent right knee injury. Towns was forced to the locker room and would not return, which certainly makes it seem unlikely he’d play in Sunday’s match-up versus the New York Knicks. While Towns was able to record his third 40-plus-point outing in his last five contests, his long-term health is the more pressing matter, as he will undergo further testing. The fourth-year big man missed the first two games of his career last month due to injuries sustained during a car accident.--Jesse Borek
