Trevor Ariza Knocks Down Season-High Seven Threes In Loss
6 years agoWashington Wizards small forward Trevor Ariza collected 27 points during Saturday’s defeat to the Minnesota Timberwolves, getting there primarily by his shooting of the deep ball. Ariza knocked down seven triples for the first time this season, shooting 8-for-13 overall. His scoring output matches his season high, now giving him 15.3 points per game in his 36 games with the Wizards this year. While that number won’t qualify for a new career high outright, it puts him on pace for his largest PPG average since the 2013-14 season, his most recent with the Wizards. He next faces the Sacramento Kings on Monday, who are in the bottom five in the league in slowing down opposing small forwards this season on a nightly basis.
