6 years agoLos Angeles Lakers small/power forward Kyle Kuzma took over larger ball-handling duties without LeBron James in the mix for Friday’s loss to the Detroit Pistons. After scorching the Pistons for a career-high 41 points back on Jan. 9, Kuzma mixed his game up Friday and scored just 12 points, but compiled a career-high 10 assists. He continues to struggle from behind the three-point line since returning from the All-Star break, knocking down just 21.4 percent of his shots from deep. Even with James likely to return for Sunday’s game against the New York Knicks, Kuzma draws a golden match-up against a squad that has been unable to slow down opposing fours this season.--Jesse Borek
