DeMarcus Cousins Collects 12 Points Before Early Departure
6 years agoGolden State Warriors center DeMarcus Cousins went for 12 points, eight rebounds and six assists across 26 minutes during Saturday’s win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. But where the concern lies is in the sprained right ankle that Cousins sustained and forced him to the sidelines in the fourth quarter. Head coach Steve Kerr passed it off as a right ankle tweak, although Cousins' status for Monday’s contest with the San Antonio Spurs can be logged as up in the air for the time being. Golden State has little reason to push their starting center, who averaged 15.6 points and 7.9 rebounds across his 21 games this season.
