6 years agoPortland Trail Blazers shooting guard C.J. McCollum has been shut down for the next week due to a left knee strain that he suffered during Saturday’s loss to the San Antonio Spurs. McCollum had an MRI on Sunday that revealed the injury and will be re-evaluated in a week’s time, although it appears he avoided any major damage that may have cost him the remainder of the season. The Blazers are scheduled for three games over the next week, beginning Monday against the Indiana Pacers, where Rodney Hood is a candidate to enter the starting five and take on an increased offensive role without McCollum in the mix.--Jesse Borek
