6 years agoNew York Knicks shooting guard Allonzo Trier will be absent from the rotation for Wednesday’s contest against the Utah Jazz due to a strained left calf. It will mark his first game missed since Dec. 21, leaving the Knicks thin in the backcourt. Trier has been percolating offensively since the All-Star break, having averaged 14.5 points per game in 13 contests. The Knicks are likely to continue handing him ample shot opportunities off the bench, so long as he can remain healthy down the stretch.--Jesse Borek
