6 years agoPhoenix Suns small forward Kelly Oubre Jr. has been ruled out for his second consecutive contest Thursday against the Detroit Pistons due to a left thumb sprain. Oubre missed his first game since being acquired by the Suns due to the injury Monday, likely leaving the Suns short-handed on the wing again with T.J. Warren still out of the fold. Oubre has piled up 16.9 points per game across 40 contests with the Suns, so he’s likely to remain a high-octane scoring option down the stretch, with his next chance to return coming Saturday against the Sacramento Kings.--Jesse Borek
