Emmanuel Mudiay Ties Season High With 21 Shot Attempts
6 years agoNew York Knicks point guard Emmanuel Mudiay remained uber-aggressive during his fifth straight start during Friday’s loss to the Denver Nuggets, firing up a season-high-tying 21 shots en route to a 21-point effort. Mudiay, who was facing the team who drafted him in 2015, continued to see a large workload with Dennis Smith Jr. (back) sidelined. Frank Ntilikina and Kadeem Allen both played off the bench, but combined to shoot 2-for-13. Mudiay went 9-for-21, adding in seven rebounds and four assists, establishing that he’ll continue seeing the lion’s share of point duties until Smith returns. He’ll have a favorable match-up against a Los Angeles Clippers squad on Sunday that has had trouble slowing point guards throughout the season.
