6 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans shooting guard Ian Clark took on an expanded offensive role during Wednesday’s loss to the Charlotte Hornets, collecting 17 points on 7-for-18 shooting, including going 3-for-12 from behind the three-point line. His 12 attempts from deep set a new career high as New Orleans attempts to give him expanded run down the stretch. He also added six rebounds and three assists in his third straight start Wednesday, which should put him in line for similar usage Friday against the Phoenix Suns, who are likely to be short-handed as well.--Jesse Borek
