Giannis Antetokounmpo Drops 45 Points During Dominating Effort
6 years agoMilwaukee Bucks guard/forward Giannis Antetokounmpo made his case for the league’s MVP Award during Thursday’s win over the Philadelphia 76ers, finishing with 45 points, 13 rebounds, six assists and five blocks. It was as recently as March 17 that Antetokounmpo collected a career-high 52 points and 16 rebounds against the Sixers, so while Thursday’s performance paled in comparison to that one, it remained a sterling effort nonetheless and marked his fourth double-double in his last five games. The win sewed up the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, which could mean Antetokounmpo may not be needed much over the final three regular-season games. Keep an eye on his status for Saturday versus Brooklyn.
