Dennis Smith Jr. Drops 15 Points Off Bench In Return
6 years agoNew York Knicks point guard Dennis Smith Jr. returned to action for Sunday’s win over the Washington Wizards, having missed nine of the team’s past 11 games due to injury. He logged 26 minutes off the pine and finished with 15 points on 6-for-12 shooting, including a season-high-tying three made triples. He also added five assists (and five turnovers) and two rebounds to his line. He closes out the year with matchups against Chicago and Detroit on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively, although whether he returns to the starting five remains up in the air. The Knicks could also opt to hold him back for one or both of the contests should his back injury flare up.
