6 years agoWashington Wizards small/power forward Jeff Green led the team in scoring during Sunday’s loss to the New York Knicks with 19 points off the bench in just 16 minutes. It marked only the second time all season that Green finished as the team’s top point scorer, but with Bradley Beal shooting 5-for-17 during his time on the floor, Green took on the role of bench ace and shot 7-for-10 in his short outing. The Wizards close out the season Tuesday versus Boston, one of Green’s old clubs, whom he recorded one of his two double-doubles against this season, back on Dec. 12.--Jesse Borek
