Gleyber Torres Hit On Elbow Friday
6 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres (elbow) was hit by a pitch on the elbow on Friday night, and manager Aaron Boone doesn't know how the swelling will look on Saturday morning. It doesn't sound like a serious injury, but the Yankees will likely give their shortstop a day or two off to rest up. The 22-year-old had a single, RBI and two strikeouts in four plate appearances on Friday against Tampa. He sits at a .280 average with five home runs, 17 RBI and three steals on the year and will remain an everyday player all year long. Check the lineup on Saturday before setting your fantasy lineups. Thairo Estrada or Giovanny Urshela could fill in at the 6 if Torres isn't ready.
