Tim Beckham Belts Grand Slam On Monday
6 years agoSeattle Mariners shortstop Tim Beckham slugged a grand slam on Monday off of Rangers pitcher Shelby Miller as he finished the night with five RBI. He went 3-for-4 in this contest as he now sports a .265 batting average with nine homers and 26 RBI on the season. Beckham was one of the league's hottest hitters at the beginning of the year but has cooled off significantly over the last month. He's ceded playing time to J.P. Crawford over the previous two weeks as the team has made it clear that he is the future at the position. The M's will continue to get Beckham his at-bats to build up some potential trade value this summer, but he'll remain in a timeshare at his position. Beckham has value in AL-only formats solely, and even that is pushing it with the emergence of Crawford.
