5 years agoDetroit Tigers shortstop prospect Willi Castro picked up a pair of hits in five at-bats on Wednesday for Triple-A Toledo. Castro, 22, has been tearing the cover off the ball with a .351 batting average. Castro is more of a contact hitter than power hitter as he only has three home runs and 22 RBI, but has been solid on the bases with eight stolen bases. There isn’t much competition on the big league roster at shortstop, but the rebuilding Tigers have no reason to rush a call up. Castro should get a chance this summer for the Tigers. Castro is a better real life player than fantasy player, but could help owners on the basepaths if he gets promoted.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
